interests coalesce around economic planning and political order in
developing countries. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB) from the
University of Yaoundé - Cameroon; a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) from
the University of the Witwatersrand – South Africa; and a Masters

African Law Journal, Juta Publishers, Cape Town. He was a 2002 Research
Fellow at The Centre for Studies and Research in International Law and
International Relations, The Hague Academy of International Law, The
Netherlands.
Christophe strongly believes that many Cameroon’s economic problems are
grounded in institutional failures, poor governance, lack of political
leadership, and the politics of the belly. Positing that
growth requires achieving sustainable development patterns and
preserving the productive capacity of local economy for present and
future generations, he is of the opinion that integrative
decision-making and transformational leadership could enable Cameroon
and other developing countries to fashion new internal mechanisms to
make up the shortfall yet existing between political supply and social
demands.
He has published on a wide range of issues in international
development, conflict management, international relations, etc. His
recent publications include “The UN and NATO: Beyond the Kosovo
Legacy”; “Civil War in Cote D’Ivoire: Another Perspective on the Economy
and the Political Order in Africa”; and “Collective Identity and the
Construction of Political Markets in Africa”.
