The Elementary Education for All (EEA) project
supports PICAM’s
Development and
Humanitarian Assistance programs.
It is primarily aimed at helping the poor, orphaned,
and underprivileged get elementary education. This
project is limited to primary school education only
and covers children attending or willing to attend
both government (public) and mission primary schools
up to 10000 frs CFA (about $20) per year in tuition
and fees or associated cost.
This project does not
commit PICAM in any way to a contract to provide
continuous assistance to any particular child until
completion of primary school. While a child in need
may benefit for as many a six years from this
project, each school year will be considered
separately for eligibility and a determination made
based on a needs review conducted by PICAM for that
year.
The EEA project
specifically targets children who would otherwise not
be able to afford primary school education, or would
do so in extremely difficult circumstances. While
the project primarily aim to provide tuition and
fees for such children, PICAM may decide to provide
additional assistance such as school supplies
including books, pens, pencils, rulers, etc
depending on the nature and extent of donations and
funding for this project. Beneficiaries of the EEA
project will have their photos and case history to
include names, address, purpose of grant, manner of
selection, etc, on file with PICAM and we reserve
the right to post such photos on its website as
appropriate for purposes of this project.
To ensure that most of
the children this project seeks to help actually do
have access to our resources, PICAM will engage with
orphanages, local organizations, community
initiative groups, village development
organizations, primary school headmasters, and
Priests and Pastors in rural areas who are involved
in humanitarian work with children, and can be of
assistance in ensuring that the money and supplies
for this project are actually used for the intended
purpose.
