Guidelines
Interns will work from their location under the supervision
of a CCDHR staff. Tasks will be assigned to interns
and will be carried out at a pace agreed upon by the
intern and the staff. The duration of an internship
will be agreed upon during the selection process
(but must be at least two months) and may be
extended upon request by the intern. Communication
between staff and intern will be by email and phone.
Responsibilities

Assist with conducting research on fundraising opportunities.

Make risk analyses and balancing time-cost
ratios to focus effort on the most appropriate
fundraising activities with the highest chance
of success, monitor income and expenditure
against budgets and the target, and prepare
reports for donors of the organization.

Assist with the planning and organization of a
wide range of funding raising events and
activities of the organization.

Assist with drafting and dissemination of
appropriate fundraising communications and
professional interpersonal contacts.

Help with raising awareness of the
organization’s perspectives at the local,
national, and international level including,
attendance at special events.
Qualifications

Fundraising experience desirable.

Must be at least a high school student.

Access to a computer and internet connection.

Good communications skills (written and oral).

Ability to work independently and effectively.

Interest in the programs and projects of CCDHR.

Strong organizational skills and attention to
details.

Able to commit a minimum of two months to the
internship.

Computer proficiency, preferably in MS Word and
internet explorer.
Recognition
Interns will be evaluated at the end of their internships
and will be awarded a “Certificate of Internship”
and “Reference Letter of Recommendation”
stating the duration of your internship, the
programs with which you were involved, and your
professional skills. An internship with CCDHR
presents an opportunity to contribute to the
building of a strong civil society and improving the
lives of people in Cameroon.
