Guidelines
Volunteers work from their location the supervision of a
CCDHR staff. Tasks will be assigned to volunteers
and will be carried out at a pace agreed upon by the
volunteers and the staff. The duration of volunteer
engagement is flexible and will be agreed upon
during the selection process, and may be extended
upon request by the volunteer. Communication between
staff and volunteer will be by email and phone.
Responsibilities

Research potential donors for the organization.

Support major donor development and
solicitation.

Assist grant writers in collecting desired
information.

Assist with proofreading grant proposals and
other related documents.

Help
maintain follow up contact with grant makers regarding the status
and results of grant proposals.
Qualifications
-
Grant writing experience desirable.

Must be at least a high school student.

Access to a computer and internet connection.

Good communications skills (written and oral).

Ability to work independently and effectively.

Detail oriented and maintain a high level of
accuracy

Strong organizational and events planning
skills.

Able to manage time and meet tight deadlines
-
Interest and/or knowledge in one or more
CCDHR
programs.

Computer proficiency, preferably in MS Word and
Internet Explorer.

Strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector or
willingness to learn through research.
Recognition
Volunteers will be evaluated at the end of their internships
and will be awarded a “Certificate of Volunteer”.
