Guidelines
Volunteers work from their location the supervision of a
CCDHR staff. Tasks will be assigned to volunteers
and will be carried out at a pace agreed upon by the
volunteers and the staff. The duration of volunteer
engagement is flexible and will be agreed upon
during the selection process, and may be extended
upon request by the volunteer. Communication between
staff and volunteer will be by email and phone.
Responsibilities

Research, analysis, and drafting of press
releases on substantive and procedural issues on
all
CCDHR
programs;

Documenting and reporting on the conditions of
human rights and democracy in Cameroon;

Support program staff on broader advocacy
initiatives, including research, preparation of
advocacy materials and assisting with outreach
efforts.

Proof-reading all the organization’s documents,
including memoranda, briefing materials,
publications, press releases, campaign material,
position statements, and presentations.

Perform other task as may be required to the
overall achievement of the goals of the
organization.
Qualifications

Knowledge in any
CCDHR
program.

Ability to work independently and effectively.
·
Access to a computer and internet connection.
·
Commitment to one or more
CCDHR
programs.
·
Good communications skills (written and editing).
·
Strong organizational skills and attention to
details.
·
Computer proficiency, preferably in MS Word and
Internet Explorer.
·
Able to commit a minimum of two months to
volunteering with
CCDHR.
Recognition
Volunteers will be evaluated at the end of their internships and
will be awarded a “Certificate of Volunteer”.
Volunteering with
CCDHR presents an opportunity to

and improving the lives of people in Cameroon.
